Panama is a fabric that looks and feels like canvas fabric and is woven with a basket weave.
Basket weave is when the warp and weft threads interlace to create a simple criss-cross pattern.
This beautiful french-designed fabric has a chic dark teal background and is printed with simple and delicate winter foliage and red berries. The layout and style of this design reminds us of William Morris but with the classic simplicity you’d expect from a french fabric.
This fabric is a medium weight. It would be really lovely made into curtains, cushions and covering lampshades but with it’s subtle nod to the winter/ Christmas season, it could also be used to make tablecloths, stockings, napkins and placemats, but also little pinafore dresses, skirts and dungarees as it is heavier than standard cotton.
