Description
Cotton Percale is a fabric made with a plain weave in a method used for hundreds of years. It produces a soft, crisp cloth which has good strength and durability. To be called cotton percale a cloth must have a thread count of 180 per square inch or higher- ours is a 200 thread count.
This cloth is digitally printed with reactive dyes which can be washed at higher temperatures without compromising their colours.
This lightweight cloth has a beautiful soft handle and a great flow-y drape which makes it lovely for dressmaking, but it can also be used for many different crafts including patchwork, baby cot sheets and more.
100% Cotton Percale
112cm (45″ approx) Wide
Approx 125gsm (grams per square metre)
We advise that you pre-wash this fabric to allow for any shrinkage as it is 100% cotton which can in some circumstances shrink up to 5% in the first wash.
This fabric is sold in increments of fat quarter, half metre and metre, add these to your basket to create your desired length.
Adding a fat quarter to any other length creates a 25cm increment, but when cut on its own will be cut as a square NOT a long quarter. For example: If you need 125cm, add a metre and a fat quarter to your basket.
