These fabrics are 55% Linen 45% Cotton
Linen fabric is a natural fibre that is produced from the flax plant. It is a fabric that people have produced for hundreds of years. Linen is absorbent, cool and gentle against the skin. It does however crease easily which can be part of its charm. It is traditionally used to make summer garments. The combination of cotton and linen gives this fabric some softness and a slightly less stiff drape than linen on it’s own.
It makes beautiful dresses, tunics, tops and also children’s clothes, but can also be used for embroidery, napkins historical costumes and so much more.
Please note that this is a dressmaking-weight linen look and has not been manufactured for heavy furnishings and upholstery such as curtains.
