Description
Gütermann 100% Silk is the best in quality sewing thread that you can buy.  It is made from 100% silk and has been made in Switzerland.
This thread is perfect for fine closing seams with fine gloss, ornamental stitches and decorative seams. It can be used for decorative buttonholes and sewing on buttons. This thread is soft and supple and benefits from being both tear and abrasion resistant.
Gütermann 100% Silk thread is light- resistant and colour -fast and is recommended to be used with a needle size of 70-80.
This thread can be washed up to 40 degrees or dry cleaned and can be pressed with a medium temperature iron but should not be tumble dried or bleached.
A refined manufacturing process makes this thread wonderful to sew with for a huge variety of jobs including hand sewing, overlocking and machine sewing. It is strong, washes well at 40 degrees and has been made to OEKO-TEX STANDARD® 100.
